The event brought in 357 entrants, with many stars of the poker world joining the field. With only 141 players bagging up at the end of the night, the chip leader after Day 1 is David "ODB" Baker.
The three-time bracelet winner finds himself at the top of the leaderboard after bagging 353,500 chips as Day 1 ended. Other big stacks in the room as the night ended include Paul Campbell (251,000), Ariel Mantel (215,500), and Dario Alioto (212,500).

There will be several big names in the mix for Day 2, as Phil Ivey, Barry Greenstein, Phil Laak, Scotty Nguyen and Scott Seiver have all bagged up after Day 1.
Some notable names that busted before the end of the night include reigning World Series of Poker Main Event champ Daniel Weinman, Mike Matusow, Shaun Deeb, Chad Eveslage, Dan Shak, Phil Hellmuth and Allen Kessler.
An interesting story that developed throughout play today was John Racener managed to bag in this event while simultaneously playing and bagging in Event #90: $1,500 6-Handed Pot-Limit Omaha. Racener will have a big day ahead of him as he tries to navigate his way to the money at this event while looking for bracelet number three in the Omaha event.
The 141 players left in the field will be playing for a top prize of $206,321. The prize pool of $953,190 was confirmed after late registration ended, and the top 54 players will all earn a min-cash of $6,051.

Action resumes at 1 p.m. local time on July 12, with players beginning play in Level 13 at the 2,000/4,000 blind level, and 4,000-8,000 betting limits. Players will compete over ten one-hour levels and have a 15-minute break after every two levels and a 60-minute dinner break after Level 18.
