The only info regarding check-in says in person check-in open 4 hours before the flight in the airport. She didn't buy a seat so I'm thinking she'll get stuck with a middle but she says she's okay with that...Has anyone flown Norse out of JFK recently? or have knowledge of their check-in procedures?
Thanks in advance!
From the Norse Atlantic FAQs:
"All passengers must collect their boarding passes at the check-in desk.
"Check-in is done at the airport only for all our flights. You will not be charged for check-in at the airport."

Just realised this may be a better thread to post instead of starting a new one:
Norse cancelled their JFK-LGW flight UBT704 (or Z0704) dep May 31. Is anyone able to say why this was? I have a young friend (not very experienced in airline travel) who has managed to rebook herself onto the flight 24 hours later and I want to know whether she can claim for EU261 on this.
Also, I have told her to book into a moderately priced hotel and claim it and any reasonable meals back to the airline as they have the Duty of Care, being a European airline.
I'm coming at this from a BA perspective as that is who I am most familiar with. Can I safely assume that she can claim from Norse expenses as above as well as EC261 (if applicable) without too much hassle?

Why would a US-UK flight be covered by EU law? UK261 would only apply if at short notice and by a carrier that falls under the law.

All EU/UK carriers are under the EC/261 law. It also applies to foreign carriers when departing an EU airport (so AA, DL, etc) In this case, Norse is registered in the EU and in the UK therefore falls under the ruling in either direction.
Also, this was a short notice cancellation, not that it matters.

few out of JFK a few weeks ago. No app, no online checkin. Go to T7 and checkin at one of 4 GA. there is a separate line if you are premium checkin.
